DANBURY ââ Danbury police have lodged drug-related charges against three Newtown residents in connection with their alleged heroin use.
Police said they received a call at about 10:45 am November 16 that the men were using heroin in a pickup truck, which was parked at the Lattinâs Cove boat ramp, near Candlewood Lake.
Police said they went to the boat ramp to investigate the complaint and observed obvious signs of heroin use by the men in the truck.
Following an investigation, police charged Joseph Bromley, 19, of 79 Mt Pleasant Road, Newtown, with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Police said they found 20 bags of heroin in Bromleyâs possession.
Police charged each of the other two Newtowners with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. They are Kirk Andersen, 20, of 55 Capitol Drive, Sandy Hook, and Robert Coffey, 19, of 43-A Botsford Hill Road, Botsford.
The men were found inside a silver-colored Toyota pickup truck owned by Bromley, police said.
