Losing Our Direction
Losing Our Direction
While I know it isnât a surprise I was still angered by the article I read in this weekâs paper about a man who went for a walk in the middle of the day on a dirt road, fell and has the audacity to sue the town for damages. That our courts get filled up with frivolous lawsuits like this instead of fining lawyers and people like this is beyond me. Whatever happened to taking responsibility for your own actions?
So then I turned the page and started reading an ad that I thought someone had taken out after being outraged that people get to take tax breaks for owning those insults to the environment called Hummers. Imagine my disappointment when I read on only to find out it was a CPA encouraging this activity and hawking his wares.
Talk about having lost our moral compass.
