MONROE — Monroe Historical Society extends a public invitation to its “Home for the Holidays” sale.

A one-day sale on Saturday, November 29, the event will primarily feature Monroe Historical Society collectibles and special purchase items. The event will be held at the 1790 East Village-Barn Hill Schoolhouse on Wheeler Road from 10 am to 3 pm.

Included are coverlets with scenes of Monroe, the 2004 Connecticut Calendar featuring the Old Schoolhouse, the society’s recently updated cookbook, prints of the David Merrill painting showing the old Town Hall, the first library, and the Town Hall Annex, and several other items made exclusively for Monroe Historical Society.

Also featured will be a preview of many of the items to be offered in the society’s Christmas Fair.
