Being a New York Giants fan is starting to hurt ⦠not as bad as in the days of Dave Brown or, worse, Joe Pisarcik, but it hurts nevertheless.
The coaching is probably at its lowest ebb ever, the team makes idiot mistakes (kicking the ball out of bounds against Dallas, punting the ball in bounds against Philadelphia), Tiki Barber canât hold on to the football, and Kerry Collins (judging from the way he always throws off his back foot) has no confidence in the offensive line.
This team was supposed to be good. On paper, it has one of the better offenses in the league.
What the heck has gone wrong?
It is painful to have to sit through this stuff week after week, hoping against hope that something good is going to happen. I swear, this team has not been right since blowing that gigantic lead against San Francisco in the playoffs last year and then having the referees completely job the Giants on that last play (which they botched, of course, but were owed a second chance).
It canât get worse.
Can it?
