Dr Schmid Receives Service Award

On November 10, Dr Della Schmid of Newtown received the Connecticut Chiropractic Association’s Community Service Award. The award for commitment to community healthy was presented during a luncheon at the Foxwoods Casino.

Dr Schmid has co-chaired the Newtown Health and Safety Fair for eight years, given numerous presentations at local schools for Correct Posture Month, as well as presentations at the Newtown Senior Center and the Booth Library. She has also served as president of the Business & Professional Women’s Club and on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
