Delay At Silver Bridge

The State Department of Transportation has announced that there will be a partial closing of Glen Road at the bridge over the Housatonic River on Wednesday, November 29, so that a bridge inspection can be done.

Weather permitting, the right lane will be closed with an alternating one-way traffic pattern in place in the left lane.

The  inspection will be performed by state bridge inspectors and representatives of consulting engineering firms as part of the DOT’s program to review the condition of state bridges and overhead signs on a regular basis.

Signs will be used to guide traffic through the area; motorists are advised to use caution.
