He was born on October 26, 1948 in Nyack, New York. He was a son of Kenneth Floyd Doersch Sr and Joyce Emily Holliday Doersch. He was a graduate of Clarkson North High School, Class of 1966. He then continued his education at Fairleigh Dickinson University where he received a BS in Chemistry.

Ken and Molly were married on April 10, 1971, in Suffern, N.Y. They made their home in Nyack, N.Y., later moving to Highland Mills, N.Y., and in 1985 they settled in Sandy Hook. They were happily married for 50 years. Ken was widowed on January 13, 2022.

After moving to Sandy Hook Ken worked at AVON in NYC for 15 years. He also worked for Chesebrough Ponds, Clairol, and Revlon, Enthone Inc, and he ended his career working at Alent plc as a global procurement director.

In his retirement Ken ran his own clock shop and repair business. He was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed doing repairs and remodels on his house. He enjoyed woodworking, antique cars, and going to wineries and breweries with family and friends. Ken also loved spending time visiting extended family in Montana.

He is also survived by his sister Cheryl Maskell of Clinton Corners, N.Y., and his nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his loving companion, Sandra Tarbox of Southbury.
