Woman’s Network Plans Programs

WESTPORT — Entrepreneurial Woman’s Network (EWN) will hold an evening open house and a networking and professional education breakfast meeting in November.

The free open house, an information gathering for people interested in learning more about EWN and its programs, including mentoring and Mastermind groups, will be held on Monday, November 27, from 5:30 to 7 pm at a member’s home in Norwalk. A morning roundtable discussion, “Positioning Your Company with the Media,” will take place on Wednesday, November 29, from 8:15 to 10 am at the Norwalk Inn.

The speaker will be Joanne Kabak, journalist, author, columnist, and editor for such publications as Newsday, the Connecticut Post, the Advocate/Greenwich Times, and drkoop.com. She will discuss how to make the most of media, solicit feature articles, how to talk to an editor, and how to be quoted as an expert source.
