William Pitt Real Estate Sponsors Coats For The Cold

The Newtown sales office of William Pitt Real Estate is sponsoring a Coats for the Cold coat drive during the months of November and December. Citizens wishing to make a donation of coats in good condition are welcome to bring them to the William Pitt location at 13 Church Hill Road any day of the week between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm.

This year all donations will benefit the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury, Inc., a professional non-profit social service provider that responds to the needs of women, children, and men in the greater Danbury area. The Hope Chest of Danbury will distribute the coats, offering them for sale and giving a portion of the proceeds to the Women’s Center or by giving the outerwear to the Women’s Center clients who have obtained a customer ID card and been referred to the shop.

William H. Pitt, founder of William Pitt Real Estate and The William H. Pitt Foundation, Inc., was a firm believer in giving back to the community. “We’ve all enjoyed tremendous success from this area. It’s time to give back to the communities which helped us prosper,” he said. The people of William Pitt Real Estate work hard at building a company which speaks to the needs of the families who make their home here, both through the services they provide and through their commitment to making their towns a very special place to live. Key to their commitment is their dedication to volunteerism and charitable giving, lending a helping hand to those less fortunate than themselves, giving back to the communities that have helped them prosper.

Nancy Carlin, manager of the Newtown sales office, said, “The agents look forward to continuing Mr Pitt’s efforts here in Newtown, throughout this holiday season, and well into the future.” For further information, 270-6004.
