Real Meaning Of Christmas

Newtown Christian Church will be sponsoring its annual “Real Meaning of Christmas” workshop on Saturday, December 2, from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

“On this special day, the children will hear about the birth of Jesus, God’s gift to us,” said the Rev Jack Tanner, minister of the church and coordinator of the program. “We want to help the children realize that the real meaning behind Christmas is not toys and Santa. They will learn that it is because God loves us that He sent Jesus as our Savior. Then the children will make gifts to give to those they love.”

Because of limited space, registration is limited to the first 50 children, kindergarten through fifth grade, who enroll.

Register by calling Cyndi Hemby at 732-0811 or the church office at 426-6189 by no later than Tuesday, November 28.
