Warrant

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Carl E. Sealund, 39, of 43 Dodgingtown Road went to the police station on the morning of November 16 and turned himself over to police, who charged Sealund with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and failure to keep to the right on a curve.

Police said the charges stem from a September 4 two-vehicle accident near 22 Hattertown Road in which Sealund was involved.

After processing on November 16, police released Sealund on $100 bail for a November 30 court appearance.

Bus Incident

About 12:30 pm November 16, police responded to a school bus incident near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Pearl Street.

Police said they learned that a boy under age 18 who was on that bus was found to be smoking by the bus driver, who confronted the boy, after which the boy opened the bus’s rear emergency door, jumped from the bus and ran away.

Police said they found the boy and charged him with breach of peace, possession of tobacco by a minor in a public place, and smoking on a school bus.

The boy was released to a parent and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Juvenile Court on November 22.
