Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, will host the 2010 Tellabration installation on Friday, November 19, at 7:30 pm. Professional storytellers Marcia Hupp and Gwendolyn Quezaire-Presutti. Student storytellers will also participate.
Tellabration is a mammoth storytelling event, with dozens of storytelling happenings all over the world. Its purpose is to celebrate the art of oral storytelling. The Newtown presentation has been planned for adults and young adults ages 10 and up.
Ms Hupp has told stories as a childrenâs librarian in Virginia, Ohio, Connecticut, and New York, for audiences ranging from nursery schools to nursing homes. She has been emcee and teller at previous Tellabrations.
Ms Quezaire-Presutti has the poise, confidence and adaptability to entertain audiences of all kinds. Her odyssey of animal tales captivates audiences of both adults and young people.
