EASTON â The Easton Arts Council is presenting its sixth annual juried photography exhibition at Easton Public Library, 691 Morehouse Road, through December 17. The 59 photographs on display highlight the rural and scenic beauty of Easton from a variety of manner and viewpoints.
A reception and awards ceremony will be held from 7 to 10 pm on Saturday, November 27. Prizes will be awarded at that time for first place in both the adult and under 18 divisions as determined by juror Rene Genest. The first prize photos in each category will go on permanent exhibit at Easton Town Hall. Second place and honorable mention ribbons and certificates will also be awareed.
Mr Genest, owner of Storytellers Photography in North Haven, is past president of the Professional Photographers Association of New England. Connecticut Trustee for New England Institute of Professional Photographers, and is Councilor to The Professional Photographers of America. He was recently named Photographer of the Year by PPA.
