Horse Guard Hosts Benefit Trail Ride

Troopers from the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard (2GHG) hosted a benefit trail ride for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center on the grounds of its Fairfield Hills headquarters on November 6.

Many riders participated, donating more than $2,600 to the Medical Center. Several area stables brought groups of riders and many members of the Newtown Bridle Lands Association participated along with individual riders from Connecticut and New York who transported their horses to the property.

Riders enjoyed the 8-mile trail ride at their own pace on a beautiful Saturday in the Fairfield Hills property. 2GHG and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center would like to express a heartfelt thanks to all of the generous donors who contributed to this great cause.
