The Newtown Torpedoes got the 2004 – 05 season off to a fine start with a thrilling, 17 – point win over the West Haven Wizzards on November 6.

Of note, the girls 11 – 12 age group swept the 100 freestyle; the boys 11 – 12 age group swept the 50 breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay; and Mason West finished a very close second in 100 individual medley in the 9 – 10 age group.
