Seeks Honorary Chair

To the Editor:

The Newtown Relay For Life planning committee is hard at work getting ready for Newtown’s 2010 Relay For Life on June 5–6. Our theme is Celebrating More Birthdays because a world with less cancer is a world with more birthdays.

We need your help finding an honorary chair so we can celebrate their birthday all year long. We are looking for someone who inspires you and understands that another birthday is a gift in itself. They must live in Newtown and be a cancer survivor (anyone who has ever heard the words “you have cancer”; anyone who has lived one day with cancer) or a caregiver (anyone who has cared for anyone with cancer).

To nominate them please write a short explanation (a couple of paragraphs to two pages) about how they inspire you and mail or email your submission by December 31 to us at RFL, PO Box 831, Newtown, CT 06470 or email it to relayforlifeofnewtown@gmail.com.

Together we can make a difference; until cancer takes a break, we will not either.
