BETHEL — Newtown residents are invited to help Santa collect food drive donations for Bethel and Newtown residents. Drop off your nonperishable food or sundries at Klickers Hair Studio, UK Gourmet, Union Savings Bank-Stony Hill Branch, The Insurance Center, or A New Beginning now until November 21.

Or residents can just come out to the Stony Hill Four Corners Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 21. The Stony Hill and Hawleyville Fire Departments will be collecting final food donations at the Bethel Big Y from noon to 5 pm that day.

Representatives of the local business association will be serving donuts, hot cider, coffee and tea in the parking lot in the Big Y Plaza. Be entertained by the Bethel Methodist Church Choir and the Stony Hill Rockettes featuring Jen Turey, a retired Radio City Rockettes and owner of Dance Etc.
