Honoring The Veterans

To the Editor:

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful families and staff of Hawley School, and to the members of American Legion Auxiliary Post 202 for their contributions to our Veterans’ Day Drive, “Newtown Honors Veterans.”

Your generosity and thoughtfulness not only delivered much needed items to the veterans living in the VA residence and hospital in Rocky Hill, but also let them know that Newtown cares and has not forgotten them. 

We are grateful to all who supported our collection drive, and ask that you continue to remember veterans in need throughout the year.
