Stories For The Season And Other Library Programs
MONROE â Monroe Public Library will present âStories for the Seasonâ on Wednesdays at 10:15 am on December 6, 13, and 20 for 3 and 4-year-olds, and on Thursdays at 10:15 am, on December 7, 14, and 21, also for 3 and 4-year-olds. The public is invited to join sessions for several seasonal stories and a quick craft or movie.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Quiet parents and siblings are welcome to stay.
There will also be âAfter School Storiesâ for children in kindergarten through third grade on Wednesdays at 4:15, on December 5, 13, and 20. Children will hear seasonal stories, learn how to make snowflakes, frogs that jump, tangrams, and other quick tricks that will amaze their friends.
All of the ideas come from books. Older children may sign up as helpers and join the fun. Registration will be necessary for this series.
Also at the library, the Womenâs Club will co-sponsor a Cookie House Project on Saturday, December 9, at 10:30 am and noon. Construct a graham cracker candy house of your very own. A sample will be displayed in the library after Thanksgiving.
Registration is a must as space and materials are limited and needs to be done in person.
