Acclaimed singer-songwriter and storyteller Christine Lavin will make a special return appearance at The Flagpole Radio Café at 7 pm Saturday, December 7, at the Edmond Town Hall Theatre.

Lavin, known for her wit, warmth, and mastery of folk music, will perform an unforgettable evening of her signature songs and stories that have resonated with audiences for over four decades.

She was the featured guest in 2013, when she not only headlined the variety show, she hosted a pre-show knitting circle in The Mary Hawley Room.

A seasoned performer who has won legions of fans worldwide, Lavin has built a reputation for combining humor, heart, and musical talent in every performance. Whether it’s a touching ballad or a hilarious anecdote, Lavin has the unique ability to make audiences feel like they are sharing an intimate moment with an old friend.

Last year Lavin released The Seasons Project, a limited edition 80-song seasonal compilation featuring the work of 63 American, Canadian, British and Irish singer/songwriters. Lavin assembled the compilation to help guide future historians and folklorists to authentic music being written in the last two decades of the 20th Century and the first two of the 21st Century.

It has sold out.

This year she is completing her 26th solo album, Drum School Dropout, and hopes to have it completed in 2025. Just last month there were 11 performances of InunDATEd, a 90 minute theatrical production that showcased nine of Lavin’s songs by the York Theatre in NYC. There will be one more workshop production before the show is released internationally. The most recent production starred two Broadway veterans Kate Rockwell and Taylor Crousore.

The Flagpole Radio Café, a popular live variety show that blends music, comedy, and local talent, is thrilled to again welcome Lavin to its stage. Now in its 13th season, the ongoing series brings together regional artists and national performers for a night of entertainment in the heart of Newtown.

Performances are on the main stage at 45 Main Street.

Tickets are $45 and are available at edmondtownhall.org.
