To the Editor:

Now that the election (and recount) is over, I want to thank everyone in our community for electing me to serve you as your Legislative Council member for District 1. I am immensely grateful to my family, friends, and those who voted for me for your support, and I want to assure you that I will do my best to make sure that your concerns are heard and addressed.

Because the election results for this seat ended in a tie between Jim Landy and myself, I especially would like to thank Jim for conceding the seat to allow me to remain on the Legislative Council and I hope to serve with him in the future.

Whether or not you voted for me in this election, I want you to know that I am dedicated to serving all Newtown residents and keeping your best interests at heart. For the next two years, your concerns are my concerns.
