Frank X. Hauser

Frank X. Hauser, 88, of Southbury, formerly of Newtown, died unexpectedly November 13 in St Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury. He was the husband of Lillian (Sax) Hauser. He was born August 7, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Henrietta (Spink) and Frank Hauser. 

Mr Hauser was a US Army veteran of World War II, and received his bachelor’s degree from St John’s University in New York. He worked as a comptroller for Squibb-Beechnut, Acushnet in Bedford, Mass., and Boehringer-Ingelheim in Danbury. He then opened his own CPA firm in Danbury where he worked until retirement.

He was an active member of the Danbury Rotary and served as a business manager of parochial schools for the Archdiocese of Bridgeport. 

Besides his devoted wife of 65 years, he leaves his five loving children and their spouses, Karen Hauser of Washington state, George Hauser of Woodbury, Kristin and Leo Lucas of Washington state, Frank G. and Francesca Hauser of Bedford, N.Y., and William and Alison Hauser of Southbury; six grandchildren, Arthur, Kaylee, Maria, Michael, Anthony, and William; and one great-granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, November 17, at 11 am, in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Urn burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Southbury. Calling hours are Tuesday, from 9:30 until 10:45 am, in the daily chapel of the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Danbury Rotary Trust, PO Box 788, Danbury CT  06813.
