Multiple Charges
At about 1:50 pm on November 11, police said they were using stationary radar on Main Street when they found that motorist Matthew S. DeLuca, 26, of Bristol was driving 47 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone near 19 Main Street, so they stopped him to investigate.
Police said they charged DeLuca with traveling too fast, illegal use of a handheld cellphone while driving, and driving with a suspended license.
Also, Newtown police said they learned that West Hartford police held a pending arrest warrant on DeLuca on charges of second-degree failure to appear in court and driving while under suspension.
Police report that after processing the violations, they released DeLuca on $2,000 bail for a November 20 appearance in Danbury Superior Court and for a November 27 appearance in Hartford Superior Court.
Sherman Man
Police said that at about 10:05 pm on November 10, they stopped motorist William Holihan, 24, of Sherman on Main Street because the Volkswagen that he was driving had tail lamps that were not working.
After investigating, police said they charged Holihan with failure to have working tail lamps, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After processing those charges, Newtown police said they turned over Holihan to state police who held a warrant him on a charge of driving under the influence in connection with an incident that occurred earlier this year.
DUI Arrest
Police report that while on patrol at about 11 pm on November 8, they spotted a BMW auto that was stationary and idling in the southbound lane of South Main Street at its northern intersection with Peckâs Lane.
Police said they investigated and charged motorist Paramjeet Dhillon, 43, of Cos Cob with improper parking and with driving under the influence.
After arrest processing, police released him on $200 bail for a November 27 court appearance.
Hanover Road
At about 4:48 pm on November 10, police said they were using radar on Hanover Road near its intersection with Butterfield Road, when they stopped motorist Tiffany Losito, 24, of Danbury for traveling too fast.
Police charged Losito with traveling too fast and with driving with a suspended license. Losito was released on a written promise to appear in court on November 20.
Cherry Street
Sometime overnight on November 8âNovember 9, someone entered a parked motor vehicle at a Cherry Street residence near Black Cherry Lane and stole an electronic automotive navigation device (GPS) from the vehicle, police report. Police ask anyone with knowledge of the theft to contact them at the police station at 203-426-5841.
Church Hill Crash
A two-vehicle accident occurred on Church Hill Road near its intersection with Main Street about 9:18 am on November 9.
Motorist Dorothy Cavanaugh, 86, of 9 High Bridge Road was driving a 1997 Ford sedan eastward on Church Hill Road, as motorist Lisa Sinapi, 48, of Southbury was driving a 2008 Acura MDX SUV westward on Church Hill Road, according to police.
The Ford made a left turn in front of the approaching Acura, resulting in a collision, police said. There were no injuries. Police said they issued Cavanaugh a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
Mercedes Off Road
Police said that motorist Sonal Chand, 40, of 20 Oak Ridge Drive was driving a 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML-350 SUV northward on Hattertown Road, near its intersection with Boggs Hill Road, about 8:15 am on November 8, when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, striking a wall and a tree.
Chand was not injured. Police said they issued her a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.

Audi Vs Wall
At about 4 am on November 10, motorist Ian Guilfoil, 22, of Danbury was driving a 1997 Audi A-4 sedan southward near 39 Tunnel Road, when the auto went off the right side of the road and struck a stone wall, damaging both the auto and the wall, police report.
Police said Guilfoil told them that he may have been driving too fast when the vehicle exited the road.
Neither Guilfoil nor a passenger were injured. Police said they issued Guilfoil an infraction for making a restricted turn and for an automotive insurance violation.
Jeep Into Fencing
Motorist Christopher Jennings, 19, of 20 Georges Hill Road was driving a 1995 Jeep Cherokee SUV on Poverty Hollow Road, near its intersection with Equestrian Ridge Road, at about 6:13 pm on November 7 when the auto started sliding on the snow-covered pavement and then went off the road and struck some fencing, according to police.
Jennings was not injured. Police report they issued Jennings a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Nissan Vs Lexus
Police report a two-vehicle accident at a commercial parking lot for 97-99 South Main Street about 2:43 pm on October 27.
In that incident, motorist Ashley Carfo, 24, of Shelton, who was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima sedan, backed into a 2006 Lexus SC-430 coupe that was being driven through the parking lot by Harvey Rothberg, 72, of Brookfield, police said.
There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.
South Main Accident
A two-vehicle collision took place near 99 South Main Street about 5:30 pm on November 2, according to police.
Northbound motorist Harry Lewis, 52, of Danbury, who was driving a 2009 Nissan Maxima sedan, was slowing for traffic conditions when the Nissan was struck from behind by a northbound 2009 Hyundai Elantra sedan driven by Michelle Spanedda, 17, of 8 Canterbury Lane, police said.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Spanedda a written warning for following too closely.
SUV Vs Deer
Motorist Megan Kirk, 30, of 14 Park Lane, who was driving a 2006 Toyota RAV-4 SUV eastward on Mt Pleasant Road near its intersection with Pocono Road at about 3:42 pm on November 6, collided with a deer, police report. Neither Kirk nor two passengers were injured. Police took no enforcement.
Rear-Ender
Motorist Ruth Peprah, 40, of 7 Quail Hollow Lane, who was driving a 2004 Honda CRV SUV eastward, stopped in preparing to make a left turn into a driveway at 51 Berkshire Road at about noon on November 6, when the Honda was struck from behind by an eastbound 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Dylan Tuz, 26, of New Milford, police said.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Tuz a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Rollover Crash
Motorist John Magro, 48, of Bethel was driving a 2010 Ford Econoline van westward on Sugar Street, near its intersection with Key Rock Road, at about 5:20 pm on November 7, when the vehicle went out of control on the snow-covered pavement and rolled onto its side, police report.
Magro was able to get out of the van and was not injured, police said. Police said they issued him a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Volvo Vs Tree
Motorist Stephen Papp, 52, of 22 Shut Road, who was driving a 2005 Volvo 280 sedan on snow-covered pavement near 135 Poverty Hollow Road at about 6:15 pm on November 7, slid off the road and struck a tree, according to police.
Papp was not injured. Police said they verbally warned him for traveling too fast for conditions.
Asleep At Wheel
Motorist Anthony Lopez, 33, of Wingdale, N.Y., was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus sedan northward on South Main Street, near its intersection with Orchard Hill Road and Huntingtown Road, at about 8 pm on November 6, as motorist Jaya Adusumilli, 39, of 34 Little Brook lane was driving a 2004 Subaru Forester SUV southward on South Main Street, police report.
Lopez then fell asleep and the Ford entered the southbound lane, colliding with the Subaru, police said.
Lopez and a Subaru passenger reported injuries, police said. Police said they issued Lopez an infraction for failure to drive to the right and for driving without a license.
Three Vehicles
Police report a three-vehicle chain-reaction accident on Berkshire Road near Wasserman Way about 12:22 pm on November 7.
Police said that a 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan, which was driven by S. Sun, 16, of Charter Ridge Drive, struck the rear end of a 2001 Dodge Durango SUV driven by Kayla OâGrady, 16, of Country Squire Lane.
That impact pushed the Dodge into the rear end of a 2009 Honda Civic sedan driven by Kiely Kuligowski, 17, of 3 Cider Mill Road, police report.
There were no injuries. Police said Sun received enforcement.
Slippery Conditions
A two-vehicle accident occurred on a snow-covered westbound Mile Hill Road near its intersection with Queen Street about 10 pm on November 7, police said.
In that incident, a Chevrolet truck with a snowplow, which was driven by Theodore Dombrowski, 51, of Southbury, struck the rear end of a Ford Explorer SUV driven by Jacob Johnson, 21, of 62 Pine Tree Hill Road, police report.
There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Dombrowski for following too closely.
Highway Accident
State police report that two-vehicle accident occurred on eastbound Interstate 84 near the Exit 11 interchange at about 3:40 pm on November 6.
In that incident, motorist Marie Conversano, 42, of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., who was driving a 2002 Cadillac, slowed for traffic conditions and was then struck from behind by a 2010 Ford Transit van driven by Christopher Hardy, 23, of Somers, state police said.
There were no injuries. State police said they verbally warned Hardy for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
I-84 Collision
State police report that motorist Jeffrey Wedge, 42, of Unionville was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer SUV eastward on Interstate 84, about one-half mile west of the Exit 10 interchange, on November 1 when the Explorer was struck from behind by an eastbound 2001 Ford Escort driven by Kenneth Tingley, 20, of Litchfield.
There were no injuries. Enforcement information was not available.
Huntingtown Road
Police said that they observed motorist David Abarzua, 53, of Southbury driving fast near 45 Huntingtown Road about 8:49 am on November 12, so they stopped him to investigate.
Police said they charged Abarzua with traveling too fast and with driving with a suspended license.
Abarzua posted $100 bail and was released for a November 27 court appearance, police said.
Pickup Vs Minivan
About 8:12 am on November 12, motorist William Ferris, 26, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y,, who was driving a 2009 Nissan pickup truck, was exiting a commercial driveway at 25 Berkshire Road, as motorist Geraldine Lago, 46, of 17 Taunton Lake Road was driving a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country minivan westward on Berkshire Road, police said.
As the truck exited the driveway, the truck struck the minivan, police said. There were no injuries. Police said they issued Ferris an infraction for failure to grant the right of way.
Mazda Accident
Motorist Bryan Watson, 33, of Southbury was driving a 2006 Mazda 3 sedan eastward on Mt Pleasant Road, near its intersection with Taunton Lane, about 6:30 pm on November 12, when a deer ran across the road, resulting in the auto and the deer colliding, police report.
Watson was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Deer Incident
At about 12:30 pm on November 12, motorist Gary Galanis, 51, of Hampton, N.H,. was driving a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV eastward near 55 Sugar Street, when a deer ran across the street, resulting in a collision, according to police.
Galanis was not injured. Police took no enforcement.

Church Hill/Queen
Police report that Dale Fullen, 32, of Webster, Mass., who was driving a 2002 Ford truck westward on Church Hill Road, stopped and was preparing to make a left turn onto Queen Street, when a westbound 2005 Chrysler Pacifica SUV driven by Catherine Greenwood, 52, of 15 Sleepy Hollow Road, struck the rear end of the Ford at about 10:30 am on November 4.
Volunteer ambulance staffers treated Fullen at the scene for soreness, police said. Police said they issued Greenwood a written warning for following too closely.
Road Rage Incident
Police said that they responded to a report of a âroad rageâ incident that occurred near the intersection of South Main Street and Bear Hills Road at about 10:10 am on November 13.
Police said their investigation determined that the incident was verbal, not physical. There were no injuries.
Police report that they charged Peter Karazulas, 52, of Easton with second-degree breach of peace and with second-degree threatening.
Karazulas was released on $100 bail for a November 28 appearance in Danbury Superior Court, police said.
