Local Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charge 

Police report that at about 4:30 pm on November 14, they went to Danbury Hospital and arrested David E. Anderson, 44, of 3 Lafayette Trail, Newtown, on a court warrant listing charges of third-degree possession of child pornography and disorderly conduct.

Police said that the child pornography charge stems from an incident that occurred between 2011 and 2012. The disorderly conduct charge stems from a domestic dispute that occurred on November 6, police said.

Five police responded to 3 Lafayette Trail about 9:10 am on November 6 following a request for a health/welfare check there. Lafayette Trail is a dead-end street extending from Tamarack Road.

On November 14, police transported Anderson from Danbury Hospital to the police station. After his arrest processing, Anderson was released on $100,000 bail for a November 15 arraignment on the charges in Danbury Superior Court.

After the November 6 incident at 3 Lafayette Trail, police investigated and then applied for the arrest warrant, which they served against Anderson on November 14. That court warrant listed both charges.

Police declined to provide details concerning the child pornography aspects of their continuing investigation.

Third-degree possession of child pornography is a Class D felony. The disorderly conduct charge is a Class C misdemeanor.
