Holiday Closings

All town offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The transfer station at the former landfill on Ethan Allen Road will be closed both days; it will re-open on Saturday on its regular schedule (7 am to 3 pm).

The Senior Center and Cyrenius H. Booth Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The senior center will reopen on Monday at 8 am, and the town library will reopen on Saturday at 9:30 am.

Schools also will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The offices of The Bee will be closed on Thanksgiving. They will reopen at 8 am Friday.

Please note that deadlines for the Friday, November 23, issue of The Newtown Bee will be 24 hours earlier than normal due to the holiday.
