Emily & Trevor Nickerson

Emily Elizabeth Sicard and Trevor Dana Nickerson were married on August 11, 2012, at Dimnent Memorial Chapel in Holland, Mich.

Father Andrew Gross and Mother Summer Gross of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, South Haven, Mich., were the officiants. The bride was given into marriage by her parents, Kathy and Walt Sicard of South Haven. The bride wore an ivory lace dress and carried a bouquet of red Gerbera daisies.

A reception followed at Pinnacle Center, Hudsonville, Mich.

Alexandra Klug of Idaho Falls, Ind., was the maid of honor. Carly McGarr of New York City and Celeste Gruber of South Haven were the bridesmaids. They all wore navy blue satin and lace cocktail dresses, and carried bouquets featuring white Gerbera daisies.

Trevor, son of Jane and Dana Nickerson, currently of South Haven, is a former resident of Newtown.

His best man was Jimmy Mayers of Jersey City, N.J., and his ushers were Matt Gerry and JR Yllanes, both of Newtown, Cory Sicard of Charlottesville, Va., and Andrew Sicard, of South Haven.

A controls engineer for Whirlpool Corporation, Trevor is a 2006 graduate of Newtown High School and a 2011 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Emily is a 2006 graduate of South Haven High School, and a 2010 graduate of Hope College, where she was also a Fulbright grantee and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is a digital and social media coordinator for Consumers Credit Union.

Having celebrated their marriage with a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the Nickersons have returned to their home in South Haven.
