Martha Coville has joined the staff of The Newtown Bee as its new education reporter. She is replacing Laurie Borst, who covered Newtown’s schools and related subjects since May 2006. Mrs Borst has decided to take a position within The Bee’s accounting department.

Ms Coville is a 2003 graduate of Providence College, where she earned a bachelor of arts in English and graduated magna cum laude. She continued her studies at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, doing coursework toward her master’s in English.

She is a former reporter for KentTribune.com, based in Kent, where she covered town, school, and general news for New Milford.

A resident of Terryville, Martha is proficient in speaking French.
