Fraser-Woods To Offer Fun
For The Whole Family
On Saturday, November 17, from 10 am until 3 pm, The Fraser-Woods School will host its Annual Family Fun Day featuring homemade southern chili and cornbread, hot apple cider, and a wide array of baked goods including cookies, pies, specialty breads, and confections. There will be a variety of activities for the children to enjoy, including a moon bounce, crafts, and games with prizes for kids of all ages.
The Fraser-Woods School Book Fair will be open during that time featuring a wide variety of books and items for all age groups, from preschool through eighth grade and beyond, from Lindaâs Story Time in Monroe.
John Farrell, an internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, author, and storyteller, will offer a special performance beginning at 11 am. He has performed for children, teachers and families at more than a thousand schools from Japan to Europe to South Africa, and all across North America. His songs and stories focus on living peacefully, appreciating the natural world, and promoting literacy.
Mr Farrell is the founder of Bridges of Peace, an international program to promote understanding through writing, music, art, service projects, and the Internet. He is the author of two picture books, Itâs Just a Game and Stargazerâs Alphabet, and his third book, Dear Child, will be published next spring. Mr Farrell received a Parentsâ Choice Award and a Dove Foundation Award for The Great Earth Sing-Along video.
