Election Day Vote Tallies Finalized

On Friday, November 9, Town Clerk Debbie Aurelia released final official voting tallies following a local recount for two council races and the Planning & Zoning Commission. While the published chart of vote totals in last week’s edition of The Newtown Bee contained unconfirmed data, the newspaper’s Internet site was updated with final corrections by last Friday evening.

The Bee originally printed the vote totals for Legislative Council Chairman William Rodgers as being 100 less than he actually received; the paper also reported a one vote variance in the total ballots cast for Ms Aurelia.
