Troop 138 Investiture Ceremony

The Girl Scouts of Troop 138 from Hawley School held their Investiture Ceremony on November 8 for five new members of the troop – Nicole Chaloux, Elyse Knapp, Kirsten Liniger, Lauren Schreiber, and Natalie Galante.

The girls also held a Court of Awards Ceremony. The Daisies received their Daisy Petal patches, which represents the Girl Scout promise and law. The Brownies were presented with their first Try-It patch: Girl Scout Ways.

During the ceremony each scout expressed why Girl Scouts are special. The following are the girls’ responses:

“They leave it cleaner than they found it.” — Nicole Chaloux

“They help people when they’re hurt.” — Julia Davis

“They’re nice.” — Hannah Dillon

“They help each other.” — Natalie Galante

“They’re considerate and caring.” –– Erica Knapp

“They clean up when they are done.” –– Elyse Knapp

“They help people.” — Kirsten Liniger

“They help people.” — Emily Nacewicz

“They get to be with friends.” — Lauren Schreiber

“They’re nice.” — Nathalie Svanda

“They’re good.” — Stephanie Zamary

The leaders of the troop are Lisa Chaloux and Roberta Schreiber.
