Harrison said it combined the mystery and time period aspects he was looking for in a play.
Due to the ongoing work on the NHS auditorium renovation project, the production is being presented on the stage at RIS, 3 Trades Lane, in the cafetorium.
The fall drama is student-run. NHS senior Harrison Hoffert is directing the production. Advisors on the production are Janice Gabriel and Brian Tenney.
"I picked this show because it is a modern take on the 'who done it' genre that was really popular in the early 19th Century," said Harrison.
"People should come see this show because it is a suspenseful mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seats," said Harrison. "But it is also funny. So as you are waiting to find out if they are going to get away with it or not, you will also be laughing and following the characters' misadventures."
Cast members include Nicolas Stowell as Martin Chisholm, Phoebe Doscher as Dossie Lustig, Jack Armstrong as J.R., Sarah Grant as Charmaine, Payge Shaw as Pamela Prideaux, Robby Gray as Vassili Laimorgos, Lindsay Dievert as Grace Reed, Will Crebbin as Dan Gerard, Sarah Marsh as Nam-Jun Vuong, Nate Wheeler as Roberto, and Teddy Wojick as Dr Conrad Bering.

Crew members include Marina Altimari, Ashley Carnes, Sarah Grant, Sarah Marsh, Julie Olson, Katie Pfeiffer, Garrett Reed, Maddie Rooney, Grace Schoen, Evelyn Schwertley, Cassidy Tran, Kate Wassmer, Evan Wei, Yvonne Wei, and Alea Willis.
Harrison said both the cast and crew have worked hard on the production and overcame the challenges they faced while preparing for the show, which included working on the set at the town garage at Fairfield Hills, before it was transported to Reed.
"It has been really impressive how they can adapt and change and work through scheduling changes and the [types] of challenges we have come through and been able to overcome them," said Harrison.
