The People Have Spoken
The People Have Spoken
To the Editor:
The election is over, and the IPN still doesnât get it. We, the people, have spoken at the voting booth. The message to IPN is we donât want you.
Even after a thorough clock cleaning, the first comments from their leadership was to insult our first selectman with idiotic, unfounded remarks directed at her person. Bill Furrier remarked further that the will of the people would be ignored by the Republican majority.
Truth is, now that the roadblock on the Board of Selectmen has been removed, that board can finally make some progress for the town. Wasnât it the IPN-chaired Board of Education that ignored the will of the people concerning the owner-operator busing issue? Regarding the letters from Po and Bruce trying to cover IPN slander directed at Pat Llodra, nice try, but you arenât fooling anyone this time. Apparently neither could get elected to anything in this town.
Unfortunately, it will take yet another election to completely reduce this âpartyâ of perhaps 20 or so members to ashes. Great job by Republicans, Democrats, and Newtown voters. We have spoken, and we have been heard.
