SHANA EIGEN, a 1999 graduate of Newtown High School, just completed her freshman season with the Johnson & Wales volleyball team. J&W went 23-11 and advanced to the NCAA_tournament. Shana was MVP of the conference tournament and was selected second team All-Conference.

MELISSA EIGEN of Newtown, a 1996 graduate of Newtown High School, recently completed her senior season with the SUNY Stony Brook women’s soccer team. Stony Brook finished 9-10. Melissa started in 91 out of 92 games for Stony Brook, setting a new record for most starts and most games played.
