Mr and Mrs Matthew Goodman

Meilin Yang and Matthew Goodman announce their marriage on September 26 in Newtown. The bride and groom met in college in New York City in 1991.

The bride, Meilin Yang, daughter of Mr Ching-Kuei and Mrs Chin-Ying Yang Chen of Luichia Township of Taiwan, is a graduate of Tamkang University in Taipei and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She holds a double bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature/language and in interior design. Mrs Yang Goodman is NCIDQ certified in interior design and specializes in corporate offices, healthcare facilities and high-end residential interiors in Asia and in the tri-state area.

The groom, Matthew Goodman, stepson to Mrs Palma Goodman, and son of Mrs Natasha Goodman of Brookfield and Dr Richard Goodman of Newtown, a graduate of Newtown High School, holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Mr Goodman is NCIDQ certified, and works as the head exhibit designer at George Little Management, producing internationally recognized trade shows and delivering lectures for professional venues throughout the United States, Asia, eastern Europe, and in South America. Mr Goodman is also a member of the Institute of Store Planners and is on the advisory board at his alma mater, FIT.

After a honeymoon touring Southeast Asia, the couple is residing in the southern Connecticut area.
