Elaine Kassib Bachour, 77, formerly of Wethersfield, devoted wife of Assad Bachour, died in her home in Beirut, Lebanon, with her loving husband of 54 years by her side.

She is survived by five children, including Micheline Baker of Sandy Hook; seven grandchildren; three siblings; as well as numerous other relatives. Her parents, Sadie (Harris) Ernest and Kassib, and her son-in-law Brendan Baker predeceased her.

Mrs Bachour was a longstanding member of the Daughters of Lebanon.

Funeral services will take place in Beirut, Lebanon, with a memorial Mass to be held at 10:30 am, November 21, at St Rose of Lima Parish, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown.
