Young Life Group Forming In Newtown

Young Life, a nondenominational Christian youth outreach ministry, is coming to Newtown. Each week, Young Life kids gather in homes or other locations that offer teens a place to belong, listen to their kind of music, laugh, and hear a message about God’s love and acceptance.

For thousands of kids around the world, Young Life meets the needs of teens to fit in and be part of a group. Locally, Southbury and Ridgefield have had Young Life chapters for more than ten years and many teens’ lives have been positively changed.

Recently, several Newtown parents have begun working to bring a Young Life program to Newtown. An informational meeting about Young Life for parents and local clergy will take place Friday, November 21, at 7:30 pm (meeting location has not been determined by the print deadline).
