What Is Your Child’s Destiny?

Waldorf educator Eugene Schwartz will present “Discovering Your Child’s Unique Destiny” at the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School on Monday, November 24, from 7 to 9 pm.

Mr Schwartz, a recipient of a Teaching Fellowship at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, will argue that the “nurture versus nature” debate does not allow a sufficient view of the unique human personality. Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf education, suggested using an educational approach with the understanding that each student is an individual with a unique destiny. Waldorf educators see their task as helping each child fulfill this destiny.
