Volunteer Openings At Holiday Exhibition & Sale
Volunteer Openings At Holiday Exhibition & Sale
BROOKFIELD â Each year since the mid 1970s local friends and supporters of Brookfield Craft Center, a nationally respected non-profit organization, have donated their time and expertise at what has become the regionâs largest exhibition and sale of fine handmade craftwork. This year the centerâs volunteer coordinator, Muffie Green, its registrar, Dee Wagner, and gallery director Judith Russell are hoping that many new volunteers will enlist and discover the fun of working at the center during the holiday season.
Volunteers can earn hour-for-hour credit toward classes at the center, and can do some holiday shopping of their own.
BCC volunteers help with all aspects of the sale, which directly supports the artists and the centerâs programs.
The event is expected to attract over 15,000 visitors from across New England during the six weeks ending December 31. The event is open every day (except Thanksgiving and Christmas), Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays from noon to 5 pm.
Call 775-4526 or visit BrookfieldCraftCenter.org. Mrs Russell points out that those who register early will have the best selections for the times they would like to work.
