Pianists To Offer Recital
DANBURY â Duo pianists Edith G. Sullivan and Margarita Nuller will perform in recital on Saturday, November 22, at 8 pm, in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall at Danbury Music Centre.
Both pianists are well known in Danbury. Margarita Nuller, from St Petersburg, Russia, received performance degrees from St Petersburg Conservatory and performed frequently in the former USSR. Since her emigration to the United States in 1990, she performed at Weill Hall in Carnegie Hall as a winner of the Artists International Competition.
Edith Gallucci Sullivan was educated in New York City receiving degrees in performance from New York College of Music (New York University) and Hunter College (City University of New York). She has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician throughout the tri-state area.
Both pianists maintain private piano studios.
The program will include works for piano four-hands including Beethovenâs Sonata in D, Op. 6, Moszkowskiâs Spanish Dances, Six Epigraphes Antiques by Debussy, and Sonata by Poulenc.
