CPR And Choking Classes
For Food Establishments
The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps is planning to hold cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking classes on Tuesday, November 18, from 4 to 7 pm, at the ambulance garage as a holiday gift to the community.
The corps will provide training in CPR and choking rescue as well as how to recognize when an emergency exists and when to call 911.
âWe recognize that during the holidays emergencies may occur and we want to ensure a safe and happy holiday season for everyone,â said ambulance corps member Susan Cameron.
âPlease pass the word along to your favorite food establishment and encourage [their staff] to attend,â she said.
The ambulance corps needs those who are interested in attending to register prior to the class so that an adequate number of instructors will be available. To register, call Deb Aubin at 426-6874.
