Without Borders

BETHEL — On Sunday, November 16, Joan Weibel-Orlando, PhD, anthropologist and author, will introduce her book The Family Without Borders (La Famiglia Senza Frontiere) at 2 pm at the temporary location of Bethel Public Library at 137 Greenwood Ave.

Dr Weibel-Orlando’s presentation will be a talk with slides and pictures of old Bethel interweaving the lives of Tuscan-Americans who settled here and their relatives who stayed in Tuscany. The author, a Bethel native who now teachers anthropology at USC, will provide helpful insights for others wishing to investigate their family and community history.
