Earning Trust

To the Editor:

An out of state business trip immediately following the election delayed this letter until this publication of The Bee.

I want to thank the voters of Newtown for their support on November 6th. I’m grateful for being returned to The Board of Selectmen, and pledge that I will work every day to earn the trust you placed in me.

To my outstanding running mate, Owen Carney, you did a great job during the election and deserved the terrific showing you had. I am proud to call you my friend and eagerly await 2003.

Finally, I’m looking forward to working with Herb and Joe for the next two years. As the past four years have shown, The Board of Selectmen believes in working together as partners for the benefit of the Town of Newtown.
