More Info On The Park Bridge

We appreciated the space and coverage The Bee gave to the building of the bridge to Huntington State Park by Al Goodrich and his two sons on October 21. Steve Bigham told the story very well. But there were one mistake and two omissions. Which I as a colleague of Al Goodrich in writing The Newtown Trail Book’s five editions 1991-2000 would like to correct. Mitchell/Goodrich did not publish the book. The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library did. Assembled by volunteers, it has always been a fundraiser for the Booth Library and is sold there at the Reference Desk.

An omission is important. The photograph of Al on the bridge does not include the sign tacked on a tree to his right: “Not safe for Horses.”
