AIDS Memorial Quilt

Coming To Newtown

The NAMES Project Aids Memorial Quilt will be at Newtown High School during the week of November 27 to December 1. NYCAAP (Newtown Youth Creating AIDS Awareness for Peers) is sponsoring the Quilt appearance.

Several quilt panels will be on display at the high school’s Lecture Hall. It will be available for viewing by high school students during the day. On Tuesday, November 28, a special night will be held for middle school students and their families to view the panels from 6 to 8 pm.

The quilt will be open to the general public on Thursday, November 30. A World AIDS Day eve program and candlelight vigil is set to begin at 7 pm.
