A Lovely Gesture

(The Bee has received for publication the following open letter to the residents of Main Street.)

Dear great, good, wonderful residents of Main Street:

Having just heard of your warm and charming practice of observing Halloween night, it became important to extend a heartfelt “Thank You.” All of you by your thoughtfulness and generosity gave a joyful experience to us and our children.

I, as the grandmother of some of those children, wanted you to know how happy your lovely gesture made me feel personally.
