Occupation: I’m a physical therapist assistant at Church Hill Physical Therapy. I graduated from Norwalk Community College for the two-year PTA degree, and from Franciscan University in Ohio, with a BS in biology.

Family: I’m married to Amy. We’ve been married for three years. We just had a baby, Grace, in January.

Pets: No pets right now. We want some, though.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Amy and I have lived here together for three years. We both grew up here. I graduated in 2006 from Newtown High  School

What do you like to do in your free time? I love sports, and I’ll play any type. But right now, it’s spending time with my family, which is a lot of fun. We do like to hike. We got one of those backpacks for Grace, so we strap her in and to. I’m active at St Rose, and help out with the high school youth group. My dad and I like to go out and play golf, too. I do like to read, but it’s hard to find time.

What have you read recently? I am currently reading Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. But I find myself reading a lot of theological books. I have a minor in theology, so it’s an interest of mine.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We went to Bermuda last year, and that was beautiful. In college, I studied abroad in Europe. I feel you could never see all of Rome, but Assisi is my favorite city in Italy. I’d love to go back there.

What is the best thing about Newtown? I love the small town feel of it, and being able to stay in touch with friends and be close to family. Those are the things, at the end of the day, that mean the most to me. It’s a good community.

What has been the greatest influence in your life? I think the most influential thing in my life has been my faith: staying active in the church and staying close to people who make you want to be a better person, to be the best you can be.

If you could meet someone from history, who would it be? Probably Pope John Paul II. I think he was a very simple man and would be a fun guy to be around — joyful. I look up to his integrity. He’s someone I’ve always loved to learn about.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? I would say going to play golf with my dad, kind of sneaking out and making time for that.
