In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Gone with the Wind, the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission will present a Red Carpet Event and Film Screening on Sunday, November 30, at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street. 

Patrons are encouraged to wear their Oscar best to strut the red carpet beginning at 1 pm. Professional photos will be taken by Marleen Cafarelli of Photo Art Works.  The movie screening will begin by 1:30, and will include a free popcorn, as well as special refreshments offered at intermission.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students. Early online registration, at bit.ly/GWTWnewtown, will assure premium seating. Seats will otherwise be filled through general admission.

There are opportunities for the public to also participate in this event. Do you have an automobile from the 1930s to show off for the event?  Want to dress in Civil War era attire? All proceeds and donations benefit the Edmond Town Hall Theater improvements.

The series will conclude in December, with a Sunday presentation currently scheduled to include Babes in Arms starring Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney and At the Circus starring the Marx Brothers.
