*The Webster Theater has a pair of shows that it’s pretty excited about, both of which will be going on sale next week.

The first show will be a headliner by HATEBREED, who will be in Hartford on December 30. Tickets will be $20 apiece and going on sale November 20.

The other show is FLOGGING MOLLY, scheduled for February 25. Those tickets will be on sale today (Friday, November 13), priced at $25.

This weekend THE DOUG WAHLBERG BAND will be performing as part of a gala over at The Center for New Media and the Arts. This is the new art space located on the upper floor of the former Bethel Opera House, which is also now home to The Joseph Farris Gallery.

A gala party is planned for Saturday night (apologies for the late notice; this one is my bad), beginning at 5 pm. There will be three hours of catered food from Two Steps Downtown Grille and Ciao! of Danbury, and then a performance at 8 of Waiting on the Sun.

Written and directed by two-time Emmy Award winner Wayne J. Keeley, the story is “a funny, heart-warming and very real window into the life of a musically-inclined college student named Justin, who is afflicted with Becker Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive, terminal, muscle wasting disease. Justin meets Tiffany, a dance with her own issues, including a wheelchair phobia. Universes collide.”

A post-performance meet and greet will run for about 90 minutes after the performance, and will also include live music by The Doug Wahlberg Band, Split Decision and acoustic guitarist Marc Huberman.

Tickets are $65 for the entire evening, $50 for the gala only, or $25 for the play only. Proceeds, I believe, will continue to support the restoration of the space which will, come March, actually host an operatic performance.

The Center for New Media is at 186 Greenwood Avenue. Call 203-797-1786 for details about this weekend’s event, or visit dv-arts.com for details able this and other upcoming events.

*THE WAY-BACK MACHINE will be performing music of the 60s and 70s at Gates Restaurant and Bar, 10 Forest Street in New Canaan, on Saturday, November 21. Showtime is 9:30 pm.

*LADA GAGA will bring her Monster Ball Tour to Mohegan Sun Arena on Monday, January 18, with special guests Kid Cudi and Jason Derulo. Tickets are $49.50 and $59.50 and will be going on sale Saturday, November 14, at 10 am, through TicketMaster. Tickets will also be available through the casino’s box office beginning Sunday morning if they don’t sell out before then.

*Also going on sale this weekend will be the tickets for RASCAL FLATTS’s upcoming visit to the same venue. The country group will be at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, January 16. Those tickets are $85 and $115 and will also go on sale Saturday morning through TicketMaster, and then also through the casino’s box office beginning Sunday.

*Mohegan Sun will also be hosting JOHN MAYER next year, when he continues his celebratin of new album Battle Studies by performing in Uncasville on Friday, February 19. Tickets for that one are $56 and $86 and will be on sale Saturday, November 21, at 10 am Saturday through TicketMaster (you seeing a pattern here yet), and then also through the box office on Sunday.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you… on the road.
