2009 Holiday Festival of Trees

Returning To Historic Lounsbury House

RIDGEFIELD — The Holiday Festival of Trees and Holiday Boutique will be held in the historic 1896 Lounsbury House (Ridgefield Community Center) November 19-22.

Dozens of beautifully decorated trees will be on display at the cherished community event for viewing and purchasing.  Complimenting the tree display will be a room with holiday decorated tables, the popular Holiday Gift Boutique and the special Teddy Bear Tea for Children.

Teddy Bear Teas will be held Friday at 10 am and 2 pm, and Saturday and Sunday each day at 11 am, 1 and 3 pm. Cost is $12 per person and reservations are required; call 470-2248.

A preview party on Thursday, running 7 to 10 pm, is a special ticketed event offering attendees an opportunity to browse, shop and preview the trees while enjoying a festive holiday buffet. Tickets are $40.

Festival hours will be Friday from 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 11 am until 4 pm. Regular admission is $10, $5 for senior citizens, and $2 ages 12 and under.

Proceeds from the festival benefits the Center’s Women’s Committee, which is responsible for the ongoing restoration and preservation of the community center.
