GREENWICH, CONN. â Antiquarius 2007, the week-long series of events that includes the renowned Greenwich Antiques Show will be November 29 through December 5. This yearâs list of 41 dealers includes many nationally and internationally known names. âFor the celebration of our 50th Antiques Show, we are planning a particularly beautiful and diverse show with a number of new and exciting exhibitors,â said Greenwich Historical Society director of development Melinda Sherman. âOur theme is âcelebrating 50 years of collectingâ and visitors will find everything from exquisite estate jewelry to Biedermeier furniture to French antique wine-making accoutrements and Ming dynasty ceramics. The range is tremendous.â
The Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich holds Antiquarius each year to benefit the education programs at Bush-Holley Historic Site, which include after school and artist-in-residence programs, family programs and special events that serve more than 7,000 children in Fairfield and Westchester County. The largest annual fundraising activity to benefit the historical society, Antiquarius includes a gala preview party, antiques show, designer forum, holiday house tour of Greenwich homes and a holiday shopping boutique.
Keeling Wainwright Associates, Inc, are the show managers of the 50th Greenwich Antiques Show. The veteran antiques show management firm also manages the Philadelphia Antiques Show, the Winnetka Antiques in Illinois and the Charleston International Antiques Show.
Anne and David Ogilvy are Honorary Chairs Antiquarius 2007. Mayling McCormack and Teresa Kratzman of Greenwich will co-chair the Antiques Show. Jennifer Walsh, also of Greenwich, will chair the Holiday House Tour.
